VET

Morley Senior High School has well established Vocational Programmes in Business, Multimedia/Broadcasting, Information Technology and Automotive.  These courses develop industry specific skills within  specified   learning areas.  The school is a Registered Training Organisation which means that the school has the authority to deliver and assess these training programmes and certificate in these industry areas.  Qualifications achieved through these programmes are quality assured by the Australian Quality Training Framework and are transferable and recognisable anywhere within Australia.

Morley Senior High School VET programmes provide students with the opportunity to achieve a training certificate along with achieving their WACE Certificate. The opportunity, through courses of study in Workplace Learning, also provide students with practical experience  in the work place.  Students study a comprehensive course at school, comprising of six courses of study.  A seventh course of study,  Workplace Learning is completed during block release from school at the end of Terms, 1, 2 and 3.  Other flexible arrangements involving part time work may be negotiated with the school depending on the suitability of the work  to the course chosen by the student.
 

School Leaver Destination Surveys conducted by the Department of Education and Training along with feedback from relevant Industry training councils indicate that Morley Senior High School is producing quality students who are sought after by the relevant industry.  School Leaver Destination surveys along with TAFE offer and acceptance reports indicate students ability to access further training have been enhanced through their successful completion of VET programmes at the Morley Senior High School.
